Hello!
We are Spartan Virasat, Michigan State University's premier South Asian Fusion competitive dance team! This is our third year representing Michigan State, and after a relentless competition season, we are thrilled to be invited to compete in Charlotte at Legends—the National Championship—for the first time in MSU history!
Our team has poured countless hours into perfecting our craft, pushing boundaries, and representing the Spartan spirit on stage. Our dancers have juggled classes, jobs, extra-curriculars, and sacrificed sleep to reach this stage. We are overly thrilled to reach this stage; however, competing at this level comes with significant expenses, including travel, food, props, production, and competition registration.
These costs add up, and although we have started fundraisers and collected sponsors of our own, we are still struggling to make our financial ends meet. Every contribution, big or small, helps us get one step closer to showcasing our passion on a national stage.
This moment has been three years in the making. We have been striving to achieve this opportunity for the past three years and have faced many trials and tribulations to reach this stage. We are truly grateful to be able to participate in this rare experience. We can’t wait to represent MSU and the South Asian dance community with everything we’ve got. Your support means the world to us, and we promise to make you proud when we take the stage in Charlotte!
