Sparky has always been more than just a pet—he’s my loyal companion and my hearing dog. As someone who is deaf, I rely on Sparky every day to alert me to sounds I can’t hear, whether it’s someone at the door or something happening around the house. He’s incredibly smart, friendly, and loves being around people, kids, horses, and other dogs. His joyful spirit brings happiness to everyone he meets.

A few months ago, Sparky suffered a torn knee, which meant a long and difficult recovery with a brace and joint supplements. Just as he was starting to heal, his other knee went out, leaving both of his back legs in bad shape. Now, Sparky needs surgery to regain his mobility and get back to the life he loves. Watching him struggle has been heartbreaking, especially knowing how much he does for me every day.
