Help Sparky Get the Neurological Care He Needs

Hello! We are the Altman family, and come to you with love and hope for our wonderful dog, Sparky. He is nine years old and has been in our family for five of those years. Sparky was rescued from an Amish puppy mill by an animal rescue called “They Deserve Better” when he was four.

He had a rough life before he got to us. However since entering our home, he has been wrapped in love, comfort, and care—everything we can provide for him and everything he truly deserves.

Recently, Sparky has started having seizures, and our vet is worried he could have something serious like epilepsy, a brain tumor, or another neurological issue. To find out what’s happening and ensure he is getting the best care possible, we have to take him to a veterinary neurologist, something entirely new for us.

The initial tests (MRI, CT scan, and spinal tap), follow-up care, and treatment will be expensive. The cost of the first specialist visit, plus any future appointments, is already more than we can handle on our own. That's why we are reaching out to everyone who can help.

Sparky is much more than a pet — he is family. He has given us comfort, happiness, and healing; we want to do our best to return that favor.
