I am reaching out during a very difficult time in my life. I have been diagnosed with cancer and am scheduled for surgery next week. As I prepare for this major step, my emotional support dog, Spanky, is also struggling. Spanky has been by my side since he was a year old, offering comfort and companionship through every challenge. Lately, he has been having a hard time eating, and the vet suspects he may have an abscess tooth. It breaks my heart to see him in pain, especially when I am already facing so much myself.

Living on Social Security means my resources are very limited. The stress of my upcoming surgery is compounded by the worry I feel for Spanky. He means the world to me, and I want to make sure he gets the care he needs so we can both focus on healing together.
