She is my sister Spania. She has always been a very positive and charismatic person. During these past years, our father became ill with Alzheimer's disease, and Spania has always been very positive. She actively participated in caring for our father. Three months after my father passed away, Spania began experiencing vision problems and a slight discomfort in her right arm. As a family, we thought it was a result of the effort she put in while taking care of our father. These past six months have been filled with visits to doctors and hospitals. Spania has been hospitalized because something is causing inflammation in her optic nerve to the point that if not treated properly, she could go blind. We have been told it could be an autoimmune disease, but to date, we have no diagnosis. Spania has had to be hospitalized several times during this process.
Spania is 42 years old and teaches at high school.
Spania needs your help to continue her expensive medical exams. With your support, we hope to reach our goal, complete the remaining series of tests, and be accepted at the Mayo Clinic to obtain a diagnosis and fight her illness.
We are praying for her help and working hard despite that there are very sad moments that embrace our heart.
Thank you very much.
