Help Sovereign Kava Employees Recover After Hurricane Helene

Our home of Western North Carolina has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully all of our staff are accounted for and safe.

With the water system being down in 80% of Buncombe County (including the bar), and no answer for when potable water will return, Sovereign is unable to operate at full capacity. Most of our staff are unable to work and those who can work are not able to work their normal hours.

Many of our staff have turned toward volunteering their time utilizing the bar as a distribution center, aimed toward taking needed supplies out to communities in neighboring towns that have less access to resources.

We are creating this go-fund-me to help staff members get paid for missed work, and get them some help moving forwards through this difficult time. We will be splitting any donations evenly between our 22 staff members.
