Help South African Para Surfing Team get to USA

As a lifelong surfer I have had the amazing opportunities to surf all around the world and visit places I'd only dreamed of as a kid.
Through these experiences I've met amazing people and shared stories, laughter and the extraordinary gift of surfing and what it has given to me.
The South African Para Surfing Team was introduced to me through a mutual friend and their dream of attending the ISA World Para Surfing Championships in Pismo Beach, California from 4-11 December this year.
The team is made of of boys, girls, men and women all with their unique challenges that they face on a daily basis.
Most importantly, they share a common love of the ocean and their collective dreams of being given the opportunity to compete on a world stage.
However, the economic and financial reality is a significant stumbling block due to an unfavorable USD/ZAR exchange rate witch pushes this dream even further away for many of our team members. Most of who come from disadvantaged backgrounds where putting food on the table and having a roof over their heads are challenges that face them daily.

So, I'm reaching out to old friends, new friends, my global surfing network and everyone else who can scratch up and donate even the smallest amount to get them all to California.
Personally, our swimwear company, PonoGirl, has agreed to supply their team apparel so that they can arrive in California looking like the champions they are.
Thank you, Mahalo, Gracias, Merci and Baie Dankie
