Help Soulcraft community wood shop continue
Hi, my name is Jake and I'm fundraising for Soulcraft community wood shop. I am a full time member of the shop, entrepreneur, and instructor for the woodworking classes that are offered.
Soulcraft has the space, the tools, and the know-how. It is a space where you can explore your creativity like no where else. With a community of instructors and people who appreciate learning new skills, it is truly a unique place to learn something new and challenge yourself.
This year, Soulcraft will be celebrating its 10th year in existence. Their Anniversary comes after a particularly harsh year for the shop, as it has been for all of us and so many organizations. In order to continue, they need our support. Donations will be used to pay for past due rent and utility bills and bring them present. Funds will be transferred from myself to Soulcraft directly via certified check.
We feel so blessed with the community that they have created here. They have served as a launch-pad for dozens of talented furniture designers, many now with their own studios and employees. They have taught classes to hundreds of school-age students. They have spear-headed new frontiers in education with their project-based learning. They have hosted veterans, church groups, groups from the re-entry population, and droves of community organizations. They have created professional development, providing training for accomplished professions to become petrified novices again, empowering themselves and learning to work together. They have collaborated in creative place-making, here in our neighborhood, and in neighborhoods around Cleveland.
They have brought together people from all walks of life. This is EVERYONE'S shop. This is YOUR shop.
I would like to invite the whole community to join in rebounding from 2020 and bringing in the next decade of community engagement on a strong foundation!
Any amount is a huge help!
