5/22/21 update: Sophie had a large cancerous mass removed from her liver. She seems to be doing well and now we are faced with what treatment to proceed with. The surgery cost $9,000 and I will post pictures of the bills. I am embarrassed to ask for help but we are dealing with also paying for my medical and dental bills, and all with me losing my place of work this year.
Thank you to anyone who can help and share our story.

Sophie needs help with emergency surgery. Sophie and her sister are the center of our world!
Sophie is at the hospital right now after having a large mass removed from her liver. We noticed her having a hard time walking and not being her usual happy self.We took her to our vet and were very surprised to learn she had a large mass on her liver. Our vet couldn’t do the surgery so we had to take her to California Veterinary Specialists. After many tests they determined she was bleeding and needed to have it removed. The funds are needed to cover the surgery, post surgery, treatment and whatever else needs to be done. It’s all very expensive, but Sophie means everything to us. We have had a difficult year as COVID affected us financially, as it did many. We are also paying on my own dental and medical bills, so we could really use help as soon as possible.
We adopted Sophie and her sister, Katie, from Husky Camp after their family decided they just no longer had time for them after having them seven years. This wa a year and a half ago, and they stole our hearts . Sophie is 10 and has a lot more life ahead if we can help her through this. We are committed to giving the girls a good life as long as possible.
Sophie is our “kid” and we will be eternally grateful for any help! any donations are so, so appreciated, and however you can share, on Facebook, Twitter, wherever you can. We love Sophie so much and just need some help to share with her and help her heal. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
