Meet Sophie, a 6-year-old cutie patootie with Down Syndrome. To know her is to love her. She is like a sassy little comedian with a heart the size of Texas. She's the kind of kid who is going to make waves in this world, and it's already starting.

Her mom and dear friend of mine, Ginger, entered her in a photo contest for a chance to have her picture displayed in the National Down Syndrome Society Times Square Video in NYC... and her photo was chosen!! They were invited to NYC to be a part of the 2024 New York City Buddy Walk on September 7. This angel baby is so deserving of this opportunity. I would love nothing more than to see her represent the Down Syndrome community in an event that is viewed across the country.

It's going to cost a pretty penny, though. Round trip plane tickets for their family of 4, hotels, Ubers, food, a souvenir, etc. Those costs add up quickly and NYC is far more expensive than small town Mississippi. Mom is a teacher and dad a blue collar man, so a trip like this just isn't feasible without help.

If the Lord has put it on your heart to help get Sophie to NYC, any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you're unable to contribute financially, prayers for safe travels are just as much appreciated.
