Help Sophie Fight IMHA and Recover

Sophie is my 3-year-old puppy who was not acting like herself on Saturday, March 15th. Her disposition led me to rush her to an animal ER hospital where she was diagnosed with IMHA. This basically means her immune system is attacking and destroying her red blood cells. She's had one blood transfusion, increasing her levels from 14 to 17, but the normal range is 35-55, so she still has a way to go. Today her levels were at 15, so another blood transfusion was started. She'll be starting immunosuppressants to stop her immune system from attacking her red blood cells and will also be put on an anticoagulant to prevent blood clots. The cause is still unknown, and it may remain a mystery. I am only able to visit her for 30 minutes a day, and it breaks my heart.

Her cost of treatment was estimated to be from $4k-$6k, so as of yesterday, I had to give them $4k. I received a text message that through last night, there is only $1k left of the $4k deposit. With her receiving additional transfusions and tests, I’m certain that I will far exceed the $6k. I’m not sure if people will donate to this cause as yes, she is my responsibility and my world, but I thought it’s worth a shot. I will, of course, make sure she receives the required treatment regardless of donations, but I thought I would ask. Please keep sending prayers and positive thoughts for a recovery for my Sophie Marie.
