Sophie is a 10-year-old mixed breed rescue dog with a heartbreaking life story full of abuse and being abandoned twice.

After we rescued her, Sophie came to our home where she now has a loving family and doggy friends. She has finally found peace and happiness.

A new challenge recently came into Sophie's life when she was diagnosed with Stage 5 Lymphoma in May. Pet insurance would not cover her treatment, so our family has been struggling to fund her care. We have spent over $6,000 to date and it has been worth the cost because Sophie has responded very well to the treatment. However, her treatment needs to continue and we need help affording her life-saving care. If she continues to receive treatment and achieves remission, Sophie will live a happy, healthy life for many years. Both her veterinarian and oncologist are very confident in a positive outcome with continued treatment. Without treatment, the prognosis is very guarded with a short time to live.

After being abandoned and abused for the first 8 years of her life, Sophie finally has people fighting for her and giving her the highest quality of life possible. But we need your help to afford her treatment and give Sophie a continued happy life with her family.
