Dear Supporters,

I’m writing to you with a heartfelt and urgent plea on behalf of my childhood friend, Sophie a devoted mother of two young children who is currently facing the unimaginable: Stage 4 breast cancer which has now spread to multiple bones and is a terminal illness with the life expectancy being 5 years but so many young women don’t even make two years.

Sophie is not just fighting for her life she’s fighting to be here for her children. Having grown up without a mother herself and with very little family around her, Sophie knows the pain of growing up without that love and guidance. She is determined to spare her children from that same heartbreak. Her every breath, every ounce of strength, is driven by one thing: staying alive to raise her babies and watch them grow but right now, Sophie is running out of options and time.

There is a glimmer of hope. A specialised, potentially life-extending treatment called TACE (Transarterial Chemoembolization) could give Sophie the fighting chance she desperately needs. This treatment delivers chemotherapy directly to the tumour, attacking the cancer more effectively and with fewer side effects than traditional methods. It's offered privately in Germany but tragically, it's not available on the NHS.

This treatment could mean more birthdays, more hugs, more time but it comes at a cost we cannot meet alone.

We are urgently trying to raise the funds to get Sophie this treatment before it’s too late. Every day matters. Every donation brings us one step closer to giving Sophie the chance she deserves the chance to live.

The estimated cost for the full course of treatment, including travel and related care, is around £70,000 or more—a figure far beyond what her family can manage alone. This is why we are coming to you with a heartfelt request.
