My name is Sophia, and I am reaching out for help during the most difficult time of my life. I am a single mom to my 19-month-old son, and we have been through so much together. My son's father is currently incarcerated due to multiple domestic violence incidents that caused me to be hospitalized. Even with him in jail, the challenges haven’t stopped. I am currently being dragged through a long and painful trial, and despite everything, I have not received any support for our son. I have been raising him alone since the day he was born, missing work because of court dates that keep getting rescheduled, and struggling to make ends meet every single day.

I work 10-hour days as an X-ray tech and have significant taxes taken out of my paycheck each month. I receive no state aid, and every expense—from rent and daycare to diapers and food—falls on my shoulders. There are days when I go without so my son can have what he needs. I am beyond stressed, trying to keep our home together and provide for him, but it’s getting harder to do it alone.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward daycare, diapers, legal fees, utility bill for our house, daily essentials, and gas so I can get to work.
