Our names are Sophia and Ezra. We are a queer couple living in Richmond, VA and we are struggling to make ends meet. We've lost our well-paying jobs; Sophia hasn't found work that pays well enough even though she works two jobs, and Ezra hasn't been able to find work that can accommodate his disability, needing a cane to get around. We've been trying to find every possible way to pay for rent, food, electricity, and our essential prescriptions, and we're still coming up short. Sophia is nearly out of her hormones, and we've been putting off buying basic hygiene products such as bodywash and deodorant to try to stretch our money. Our meals usually look like rice, lentils, and whatever was on discount at the cheapest grocery stores we can access. Any amount you can spare at all will go towards these essentials for living. We appreciate your generosity as we try to find new ways to bring in an income and become self-sustaining.
