Hi everyone,

My name is Sophia Cavicchia, and I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with our sweet baby boy. Unfortunately, I was recently admitted to the hospital due to heavy bleeding from placenta previa, a condition that makes pregnancy and delivery high-risk. My doctors have decided I’ll need to stay hospitalized until I deliver to keep both me and our baby safe.

This was completely unexpected. Because of the long hospital stay, I’ve had to stop working much earlier than planned, and with medical expenses, baby preparations, and bills piling up, we’re facing a lot of financial uncertainty right now.

I’m trying to stay strong and positive, but being away from home for months and worrying about our baby’s safety is incredibly hard. My friends encouraged me to start this GoFundMe to help relieve some of the stress and ensure we’re prepared when our baby arrives.

Funds will go toward:

Medical bills and hospital-related costs

Essential living expenses while I’m unable to work

Baby necessities and preparations for when we finally get to bring him home
