Sookie is a 3-year-old Beagle, full of energy, personality, and love. She’s known for her zoomies, the loud, joyful screams as she races around, and her uncontainable excitement for treats and playtime. For my mother-in-law, Sookie is more than just a pet – she’s her whole world, a constant companion who brightens her days with her playful spirit.
But recently, tragedy struck. Last week, Sookie had a fall that resulted in a severe spinal injury, leaving her back legs paralyzed. Sookie can no longer walk or go to the bathroom on her own, and it has broken my mother-in-law’s heart to watch her once-energetic puppy struggle with this sudden loss of mobility.
There is hope, though. Sookie needs a specialized surgery in Edmonton, Alberta, that could potentially help her regain the ability to walk. The procedure is expensive, and while it’s not a guarantee, it’s the best chance we have to give Sookie back her mobility and her joy. She’s young and full of life, and we’re determined to help her get the second chance she deserves.
How You Can Help
We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals to help fund Sookie’s surgery. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward her medical expenses and recovery. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others will make a huge difference in helping us reach our goal.
Funds will be used for hospital bills, Medication, rehabilitation, and travel costs for Sookies humans.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity. It’s hard to see someone you love in pain, and Sookie has given us so much joy over the years – now it’s our turn to give back to her.
Let’s help Sookie walk again.
