Sookie's Kenya Trip: Teach and Serve

Hello everyone,

It's me, Sookie

I am here on GoFundMe because God has opened the door for me to accompany my church, Harbor Church, on a missions trip to Mombasa, Kenya. We will be going from September 16th through September 24th of this year.

I am very grateful to have this opportunity to serve my Lord and Savior in this impoverished country. We will be working in the primary and high schools teaching the Bible. I am especially looking forward to the opportunities we will have to get to know the local people on a more personal level through home visits and recreational experiences. There will also be the opportunity to help in construction as well as the chance to see churches that have been planted outside the United States.

I'm really excited about meeting the kids and working and playing with them.

For many years I have thought about serving God overseas, but I knew it would have to be in His timing, and that time seems to be now.

To make this possible I am working to raise the $3,500 needed to pay for my traveling expenses and anything else needed for the trip.

I'm especially excited because we will conclude our time there with a safari. That has been a lifelong dream of mine as I am a passionate animal lover and I can't believe it's actually going to happen. (With your help)
