Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

I am reaching out to my community with humility to ask for support during a very difficult time for my family. I am a Deaf Muslim sister currently battling stage-4 breast cancer for the second time. I will soon undergo major reconstructive surgery involving my breast and abdominal area due to cancer treatment.

My doctors have informed me that I will be out of work for 6–8 weeks, and during this recovery period I will have no income. I have already exhausted my disability leave earlier this year after my diagnosis returned in May. After surgery, I will not be able to lift, pull, cook, or manage normal household responsibilities while healing.

I am the only one in my household who cooks, and we are a family of five. My husband works hard to support us but does not cook, and during my recovery we will need assistance with meal preparation or prepared meals for about two months while I recover, insha’Allah. Meal-prep services are costly and currently beyond what we can afford.

I kindly ask for any help, resources, meal support, or guidance the community may be able to offer during this time. Your support will allow me to focus on healing and regaining my strength for my family.

May Allah reward your kindness, place barakah in your generosity, and accept every act of support given to those in need.
