Help Sonya with her recovery!

Hello Everyone! Sonya's surgery went amazing and with all of your help, she has been able to recover well too!

Originally, as said in the original story, the predicting recovery time was 3-4 weeks, however as 3 and 4 weeks have gone by, the doctor has advised healing can take up to 12 weeks!

With two more months to go of Sonya's recovery, I kindly ask we help her a little bit more to make the home stretch a pleasant one!

Hello everyone! I'm Sam and I am so happy to be helping one of my closest friends prepare for her Gender Affirming Surgery!

This has been a long time coming for Sonya! I have watched her grow and become increasingly happier in her life the more she aligns with who she truly is.

This surgery will only further that joy, comfortability, and ability to be her true authentic self.

As with all surgeries, there are various intensities when it comes to healing, this one being quite intense resulting in Sonya unable to work or lift heavy things (even groceries!) freely for 3-4 weeks.

Because this surgery is due to a waitlist, the preparation time is shockingly much shorter than anyone expected. Unfortunately, health insurance does not cover this recovery process which is why I wanted to help her be as comfortable as possible and financially is one big way we can help!

This money will be used by her, for her, for after surgery care, food, and medical items.

We all want to become our authentic selves and a small amount can help someone else do just that!

Why I’m choosing to help Sonya is because she is such an inspirational person to be around and I am deeply grateful that we have been friends for so many years. I have seen that she is the embodiment of “do what you love and follow your heart.” I know that she has gone through serious downs and has been cultivating and living joyous ups throughout the time that I’ve known her. She has incredible strength as a person and is always striving to do better and be better.

Sonya is a cartoonist, world traveller, dancer of darkness, demon girl, public speaker and comic book enthusiast. As you can see, she definitely knows how to live life to the fullest, which is why she is such an amazing woman to have in my life, she defies the status quo and inspires me to do the same. I can confidently say that having someone like Sonya in your life is a blessing, and to have Sonya herself in your life is a gift.

Every and any amount will be much appreciated by her and of course her close friends (me being one of them!)
