Hilf Sonya, ihren Namen zu ändern!

Hey, ich bin Sonya, eine 19-jährige trans* Frau und ich möchte meinen Namen offiziell ändern lassen.

 

In Deutschland ist die Gesetzgebung zur Namensänderung von trans* Personen durch das sogenannte "Transsexuellen - Gesetz" (kurz TSG) geregelt. Dieses Gesetz wurde in den 1980ern verabschiedet, dementsprechend veraltet sind die Voraussetzungen für eine Namensänderung. Es müssen zwei psychologische Gutachten vorgelegt werden, um dem Gericht zu 'beweisen' dass man auch wirklich trans* ist.

Diese Gutachten sind nicht nur sehr anstrengend, sondern auch teuer. Von 200€ bis teilweise sogar 1000€ und mehr, pro Gutachten.

Dazu kommen noch die generellen Verfahrenskosten; man muss nämlich einen Vorschuss von 1500€ zahlen bevor das Verfahren überhaupt richtig beginnt:

 

 

 

Für mich ist es unglaublich schwierig und nervenaufreibend, zu erklären dass mein echter Name noch nicht auf meinem Ausweis steht. Das führt zu Situationen wie z.B. beim Arzt, wo mir mein Rezept nicht ausgehändigt wird weil man mir nicht glaubt dass mein Ausweis tatsächlich mir gehört; weil das Foto und der Name einfach nicht zu mir passen.

Ich bin eben eine Frau, aber auf meinem Ausweis ist noch der Geschlechtseintrag "männlich".

Weder das Foto auf meinem Ausweis noch der Name passt zu mir.

Es tut weh, jedes Mal auf meinem Ausweis einen Namen zu lesen den ich hinter mir lassen will, ein Name der nicht meiner ist.

Deswegen habe ich mich dafür entschieden, die Namensänderung zu beantragen. Ich möchte, dass mein Ausweis endlich zu mir passt, und ich mich nicht mehr dauernd erklären muss. Ich möchte, dass mein Ausweis zeigt, was ich schon längst weiß: Dass ich Sonya heiße, und eine Frau bin.

 

Jeder noch so kleine Beitrag unterstützt mich dabei, bald endlich meinen richtigen Namen auf meinem Ausweis lesen zu können.

Hi, my name is Sonya, I'm a 19 year-old trans* woman and i want to legally change my name.

In Germany, the law to change your name as a trans* person is called the "Transsexuellengesetz" (literally "law of the transsexuals") and it is over 40 years old. The age of the law becomes apparent when looking at the conditions to change ones name. Two psychological certificates are required to 'prove' to the judge that you're actually trans*.
These certificates are not only mentally draining, as a lot of very private questions are asked, but also very expensive. One certificate can cost from 200€ up to 1000€.
These costs are added up to the general cost of the name change procedure. Atleast 1500€ need to be paid to the court before the procedure even really begins.

It's very difficult and mentally taxing to explain why my real name doesn't match the name on my ID card. Sometimes, when i am at my doctors' office i won't be handed my prescription because nobody believes that my ID card is actually mine, as my ID photo and the name on it don't really match my appearance.
I am a woman, but the gender marker on my ID is still "male".
Neither the photo on my ID nor the name on it match my actual self.
It hurts to read a name that doesn't belong to me every time i look at my ID. A name i want to leave behind, because it is not my real name.
That's why i chose to begin the name change procedure. I want my ID to match my real self, i don't want to constantly explain myself.
I want my ID to show what i already know: That my name is Sonya and that i am a woman.

Every little bit of money helps me in my process to some day read my real name on my ID.
