Hello! My name is Justin, but I also go by "Sonoma" and "Flip!" I want to thank you for reading this and giving me a moment of your time.
Over the past few years, my partner and I have been planning on moving in together. He's in Reno, NV, and I am in Eugene, OR. The plan is for me to move from Oregon to Nevada. However, after the set back from COVID and the aftermath of the pandemic, this process took much longer than I anticipated, but the good news is that I finally have a move out date: November 14th 2025!
The biggest obstacle for me, at this point, is the move itself. I live alone, am low-income, and going to be mostly donating a lot of things I have in my current apartment. With my job not paying as well, along with my benefits being stripped back, I'm in a financially tight position. The amount I'm asking for will go towards the following:
- U-Haul Expenses, such as rental of a cargo truck, insurance, boxes, etc.
- Gas + food money during the trip itself
- Payment for my friend who is driving the U-haul, then flying back
- Any extra money will be put into a savings account with the intention to use that as a nest egg during my first couple of months in Reno.
Moving is very difficult and unpredictable, so anything will help tremendously! Once I'm in Reno, I'll be in a safe, low stress environment, and will be able to apply for jobs very quickly.
