I’m reaching out today because I need your support. My sweet boy Sonny has recently been diagnosed with asthma, and the medical expenses are weighing heavily on me. The vet bill has accumulated to $4252. It’s been a tough time, and I’m trying to do everything I can to help him get the treatment he needs. If you have a moment to spare and would like to lend a hand, it would mean the world to me and to Sonny. Any little bit helps.
Your support will help pay that hefty veterinary bill…it will cover the cost of X-rays, oxygen chamber, steroid injections, & inhalers. Thank you for considering it!
Sonny will turn 12 years old in a couple weeks. He loves to watch cat tv on any device at hand! He begs for it! His favorite videos are on YouTube—he’s subscribed to a few channels, but absolutely adores live streaming to BirderKing. He recognizes those first 6 seconds of the channel’s intro. (a perfect melody of birds chirping)
He loves to play with hair ties! That nugget gets into my vanity drawer, pulls a couple out, and takes them in his mouth into the kitchen/dinning area. (the only place in our unit that isn’t carpeted) He proceeds to toss them into the air, as he tries to swat at them. If he succeeds, he runs as fast as he can go to catch them and then the whole cycle begins over and over. It’s quite the thing to watch him entertain himself with a couple of hair ties.
Sonny is quite the little inspector! Every time I come home with groceries or laundry, he must sniff, touch, and or sit on EVERYTHING!!! He particularly loves the sound of plastic bags!
Sonny has a younger brother named Mambo! Sonny is 3 years older than Mambo. Sonny cares for his little brother dearly. He loves to groom Mambo and play tag with him! Mambo is always “it”. lol
On Thursday morning (5/29), I had found my dear Sonny hiding under a chair in my living room. Frantic and gasping for air—dilated pupils and purple tongue hanging from his mouth. I panicked and took him to my local emergency center for animals.
Due to his condition, he was admitted right away and stayed there overnight till the evening of the following day. He had been placed in an oxygen chamber, ran tests, and was given medication to help with his condition.
It was concluded that he had developed asthma and is now in need of two different types of inhalers as treatment. However, one of the medications cost $537 per bottle and the other $108.
I would truly appreciate any help possible. Mambo would appreciate it. Sonny would forever be grateful.
THANK YOU!
