Hi my name is Mari and I'm raising money to help my friend Sonja with her sudden medical expenses for Hodgkins Lymphoma. Below is written by Sonja: Dear friends, family and community, This is REALLY hard for me to do, I’ve cried a lot coming to terms that I need help. I am writing to you today to ask for your help in raising funds for a serious medical condition that I have been struggling with. I haven’t been feeling well for awhile but just thought it was stress and my fibromyalgia….. recently had tests done and tomorrow I’m having a lymph node removed. From the initial biopsy I had two weeks ago, the doctor says it’s Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I’m not sure what the long term expense will be, but already the out of pocket expenses are $8,000. It’s added up quickly but I’m most concerned about trying to work, during what I anticipate will be chemo and radiation. That is why I have decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to help cover these expenses. With your help, I hope to raise enough funds to cover “some” of my out of pocket medical bills but more importantly, any other related expenses, which will help me to focus on my health and recovery without severely stressing the financial strain.
