Hi, my name is Rubin, my wife Tammi and I are fundraising for Sonia Melgar, our stepmom. Friday morning 10/01/2021 at around 5:30 am an outside appliance shorted out and caught fire. Luckily her sister-in-law was staying with her at the time. She was awaked by the crackling of the fire that had spread to the roof trusses. Thank God everyone was able to get out safely. Her home was deemed a total loss as you can see in the video I uploaded. I was only able to upload a short video, but I assure you the rest of the house is in the same condition. Setting up a go fund me is something that we weren’t too sure of, but we are definitely sure that this is something that she needs. She just lost her husband last year and losing the home that they had been in for so long is tragic. All we ask is that anybody and everybody that we know just put a little something in to help her keep going. She is the strongest, most amazing woman we've probably met in our whole lives.
