Sondra, a non binary single parent of two beautiful trans children is seeking financial support to cover the cost of legal fees. They have been in court for over a year navigating a child support and custody case without any legal representation. While considering what’s safest for jacy, the courts appointed a GAL to determine what outcome is in the best interest for their 11 year old. However they must pay the lawyer fees by November22nd which amounts to $2000. This case will be going to trial in January and they will have to pay an additional $2000 retainer fee by December 22nd which will impact the holidays significantly for their family. It is likely Sondra will have to pay additional legal fees as the retainer is just the deposit. Since November 2023 Sondra has had to pay a $150 fee to file any motions. Sondra has attempted to file for a fee waiver and was not successful. Any support for this family would be highly appreciated.
