Help Sondos Mohammed and her family

Hi, my name is Veronica and I'm based in Toronto, Canada. I am fundraising on behalf of my friend Sondos Mohammed and her family, who are in Gaza. Sondos asked me to help her create a campaign as she is desperate to get her family to safety and the situation in Gaza gets more dire by the minute. Not to mention that winter is coming soon, which only further exacerbates their daily hardships.

This is her story:

"Sondos Mohammed Shbair, I am 22 years old, I am from Khan Younis, Gaza Strip. I am a student at the Islamic University of Gaza which was destroyed by the Israeli occupation. We were forced to leave our house, to leave our beautiful garden, to leave everything and to go for nowhere. From that time we started to suffer from a shortage of everything, like food, healthy water, and medicine. At the same time, we have suffered from high prices until now. We suffered from poor weather, unhealthy food, unhealthy water, diseases, problems, etc.

We left our house but we can't go back because it is destroyed completely, there is no house, there is no fantastic garden, there is no good sleeping, and there is no comfort.

Also, they destroyed our works; our marble factory, our gas station, and our chicken farm. Now we have nothing, our money is completely finished.

My goals are: to protect my family by leaving Gaza also to treat my father, who suffers from chronic diseases and osteoporosis and to complete my studies outside of Gaza as my university is completely destroyed.

If you can help my family and me please help, and I am going to appreciate any donation, even a small one, which would make a huge difference in alleviating our suffering.

Information on how donations are transferred:

All funds raised will be transferred from my bank account to the bank account of Bilal Mohammad Badwi Shbair using an IBAN wire transfer. Bilal is one of Sondos' brothers and he also lives in Gaza.

How will the funds be used:

The funds collected will be for 8 people in total, 2 of them children (all beneficiaries are in Gaza).

The cost to evacuate from Gaza to Egypt is $5,000 per person. This is what the funds will be used for as well as to provide the necessary life needs of food, drink and health supplies in the meantime.
