Help the Somoza Family with Francisco’s Memorial
Donation protected
It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our beloved Francisco Somoza, known to many as Richard, Frank, or Francis. Richard passed away early Tuesday morning on March 29, 2022. He was in the hospital for 5 weeks and in the ICU for a little over 4 weeks, where he was diagnosed with Pneumonia and Pulmonary Fibrosis due to contracting Covid back in January.
He leaves behind his loving family, including his wife of 45 years, his two adult daughters, his grandchildren, and his dog, Princess. Richard will forever be remembered for being one to always crack the corniest jokes (that sometimes didn’t even make sense), for playing the guitar and singing beautifully, for always taking care of his dog Princess and cooking her steaks, for having ice and water wars with his wife and granddaughter, and for always offering to help others whenever they had car troubles. We will cherish him in our hearts forever and never let go of the memories we had with him.
After experiencing this devastating and unexpected loss, we are trying to help the family cover the cost of the memorial service. Unfortunately, Richard’s wife lost his life insurance policy some time ago because it got so costly, so we are trying to help as much as possible.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7th at Heritage-Dilday Memorial Services. There will be a viewing from 11am-1pm and the celebration of Richard’s life will begin at 1pm. The address is 17911 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach, CA. The family would appreciate all of your prayers, any and all memories and pictures you have of him, and any financial help you can offer. We are eternally grateful for all of your support during this difficult time.
