Hello family and friends,

Putting out a call to Sommers' Village to help him take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity.

You all know that Sommers is a dedicated student and an extraordinary soccer player. Most of you know that Sommers' dream is to play soccer in college and strive to become a professional soccer player

What you didn't know is that you have an opportunity to help Sommers realize this dream.

The Northern California Olympic Development Program (ODP), a selective program of young soccer players invited Sommers to join their program for the 2020/21 season. Out of this program, in collaboration with like programs around the country, an even more select group of 36 players has been invited to train in a college development program this June in Valencia Spain. This year is the final year for players born in 2004 to participate in this program. If Sommers doesn't go this year, he will never go. So as you can see, this is truly a once in a life time opportunity!

At this summer training program, Sommers will work with college and professional coaches. It will introduce him to new styles of play and hone his skills and his professionalism. It will also challenge him to further his Spanish skills, expose him to different cultures, and expand his horizons.

Sommers' ambition is to play for the elite and highly selective Stanford University soccer team. Sommers has worked hard striving for that goal. He works hard in school ( he has a 4.1 gpa). He works hard at soccer (he was named team captain for his club team, and MVP for his school team). Sommers' participation in this overseas Futbol development program will help his application to Stanford.

And this is where you come in. Any amount you can contribute will go towards defraying the cost of the program, airfare, and other travel expenses. A donation of any size is welcome because it isn't just about how much money we can raise, it is also about lifting Sommers up with the enthusiasm of his village.
