Help Somer Get New Lungs

Hi, my name is Somer. I want to be completely transparent with you all here is my testimony. I have battled scleroderma since I was 23 years old. It was discovered at age 30 that I had scarring on my lungs from this disease. It’s called pulmonary fibrosis. I found out last week after a right heart catheter procedure that I also have pulmonary hypertension. I’ve been in the hospital over 60 days. I originally came because my lung collapsed, they put a chest tube in. It collapsed again in the hospital, another chest tube, and another chest tube, and just one more chest tube. But I could breathe Amen. Somewhere around this time I began to get sick They thought I was going to die they had begun to call the family in but God. With God I fought my way back. I just needed to see my children, naughty girls, aunt and uncle, cousin and aunt. Not mention my Husband and Mama have been up here every week, a lot of times missing work. I will need a lung transplant( God Bless The Donor) and since I’m at Duke University Hospital I will need to be close, within 45 minutes. The time that I have to stay would put a toll on us financially. That is why I’m asking for 20k and may need more not to mention my job terminated me while I was here possibly when I was the ventilator.

Update: I’m walking, eating, drinking regular now. My lung collapsed again so another chest tube right… but I STILL HAVE JOY! God is so good. Today 12/14/2022 I walked 6.5 laps and wasn’t tired… I was able to get a little shout in… I praise God up here, I don’t care who sees me they don’t know my story. Hallelujah praise the lord….
