Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Community,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help and support for someone who means so much to so many—our dear friend, John Rohlwing.
John has recently been diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), an extremely rare, aggressive, and fatal brain disorder. CJD causes rapid cognitive decline, memory loss, and severe neurological deterioration. There is no cure.
As devastating as this diagnosis is, what makes it even more heartbreaking is what John leaves behind: his four young sons, all under the age of 10, and his incredible wife, Ally.
John is no longer able to work—at a job he not only excelled in but genuinely loved. For those of us lucky enough to know him, John is one of the most compassionate, fun-loving, humble, and genuinely kind people you could ever meet. His energy was contagious, his presence uplifting, and his heart always in the right place.
Now, in the face of unimaginable challenges, his wife Ally has had to return to work to support their family while also navigating the emotional and physical toll of John’s condition.
This family needs our help. The financial burden of care, living expenses, and the uncertain road ahead is overwhelming. We are aiming to raise $250,000 to help ease the financial stress so Ally can focus on what matters most—being there for John and their boys during this time.
If you’ve ever worked with John, shared a laugh with him, or been touched by his kindness, please consider donating. No amount is too small, and every single dollar will go directly to the Rohlwing family.
Let’s come together as a community and lift them up with love, generosity, and support. Note - All funds will directly be transferred to Ally once the fund raiser is closed.
With gratitude,
