Hello everyone!
My name is Jon and my friends and I are seniors at Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY. Throughout our college (and high school) careers, we've all been actively involved in theatre in many roles -- both on and back stage. Now, in our last year of college, using all the knowledge and skill sets that we've gained over the years, we have a plan to completely produce and perform a totally student run full-length musical.
We've already begun some of the pre-production work, but unfortunately can't move forward much more until we acquire the rights and licenses from various distributors to perform a work. In addition to being skilled in production and performing arts, we're all also very frugal, and are great at the art of borrowing and balling on a budget. Our goal budget for this production is ~$1500, and around half of that will go toward paying for the license for a show. The rest of the money will go toward set construction, lights and sound, marketing and publicity, etc.
One of the founding theories of this project is Inclusion, so we want to include y'all, our sweet, sweet donors, with some SICK incentives:
IF YOU DONATE:
$5 - Thanks!
$10 - THANKS! (in caps)
$25 - A personalized thank you note!
$35 - All of the above PLUS a signed poster by everyone in the cast!
$45 - All of the above PLUS two free tickets to any performance!
$60 - All of the above PLUS being listed in the program as a special donor!
$80 - All of the above PLUS being listed in the program as an Executive Producer
$120 - All of the above PLUS we will send you a piece of the set once the show closes
$150 - All of the above PLUS we'll dedicate the entire show to you
$151+ - All of the above PLUS idk tell us what you want we'll do it
Please consider donating to this important educational, social, and technical cause this holiday season! Or anytime after that! Thanks!
We're unsure what show we'd like to do at this time, because it really depends on our budget and how much we can raise! We're looking at a few big name contemporary musical comedies, and we'll keep you updated!
- Jon
