Hello Everyone, I am Solomon Macquoid and this upcoming summer I would like to go to Woodward, a very well-renowned training facility and camp for extreme sports in Pennsylvania.
I have been scootering and skating since I was very little but over the past two years, I have developed a serious passion for the sport and have been dedicating my time and efforts to improving my skills. This year I transitioned from joining the basketball league to scootering and within only a few months I have learned more advanced tricks and developed a hybrid style of riding. I am eager to learn even more tricks like doing backflips, learning more overheads, combination tricks like bar whip and roter whip, as well as more street focused tricks. I believe that the camp will truly help me.
In just the last month, I have started posting, editing and making longer videos of my scootering. I have received over 4k views and gained around 20 followers, including two brands on Instagram (a clothing brand named unoriginal 305 and Skrrt grip, a grip tape brand out of Arizona). I am positive that attending my dream summer camp and improving my scooter skills will help me get out there for sponsors, help me train for a tournament in Jupiter Florida in October 2026, and open up opportunities for me to later work at Skatebird a local skate camp and eventually even bigger facilities like Woodward as an instructor.
This Go-fund Me will support me not only attending the camp over the summer, but having the necessary supplies and pre-training to be ready to drastically accelerate my skills during my summer camp training. Please know that no matter what your contribution is, it will all go towards helping me improve in this sport that I love. I will be turning 16 this summer and this is my ultimate dream birthday!
