Hello! My name is John Solomon Collins and I’m a first-year Master’s student at the University of Maryland. This summer, I’ve been given the wonderful opportunity to participate in two music programs in Europe!

The first program is Musiktheater Bavaria, and it takes place in the gorgeous German Alps for 4 weeks, from July 10 - August 2. This program is dedicated to developing young artists in every aspect, offering lessons for voice, acting, dance, movement, German language, and audition skills. Each lesson will be taught by leaders in the industry, like Kevin Short and Nils Neubert.

The second program is Cévennes Lyriques, and it takes place in the South of France for 10 days, from August 3 - August 12. This program offers further lessons and coachings, along with incredible performance opportunities. I participated in this program last summer and the intensive environment helped develop me into the artist I am today, preparing me for the first year of my Master’s studies.

Being able to participate in both of these programs would be incredibly invaluable to my development as a young artist. I’ve received partial scholarships for both programs, but I still need your help. The funds I’m asking for will pay for the tuition, food, and flights to and from both programs.
