Solidaridad Tango is North America's first all-women, diversity-focused tango ensemble. 80% of our musicians are racialized immigrants, and we love to draw from our diverse musical traditions as we boldly create a new Canadian tango!

In 2025, Solidaridad Tango recorded an album of tango for dancing with the titan of tango production, Ignacio Varchausky, at the production helm. Our album is a fun and heartfelt collection of music written mostly by Solidaridad's Aparna Halpe, and it's about her experiences trying to go dancing to milongas but being stuck on public transit... so with a lot of love, it is named "ON THE TTC WITH TROILO".

Our album is almost ready to launch, and we are asking for your help to share this fabulous music live. Your donations will support our out-of-town musicians, and our incredible producer, to travel to Toronto for the proud moment when our album is launched with a live show!

Here is a moment from when we played "Unforgiven" with music and lyrics by Aparna which we played at the Tango BA Festival y Mundiál in Buenos Aires. We hope that our lyrics reach your hearts and that our music can be a small agent for positive change in this world.
