Today, I went for a walk and came across a heartbreaking sight—a 6-month-old puppy tied to a tree, shivering in the cold and snow. She had an injured back leg and a cut on her head, clear signs that she had been hurt intentionally. I couldn't leave her there, so I wrapped her in a blanket and brought her to safety. As I held her close, she rested her head on my chest, and I felt so grateful to be there for her in that moment.

We named her Soleil Sophie. 'Soleil' means 'Sun' in French, symbolizing a new day and new hope for this sweet girl. She is incredibly kind and gentle, with two different colored eyes—one blue and one brown—that seem to tell her story of resilience. After rushing her to the vet, we learned she has a fractured femur and will need surgery to recover. The cost of her care is much more than I expected, but I am committed to giving her the love and support she deserves.
