Help Soleil Rebuild After a Devastating Car Fire

Hey, Soleil here.

I know a lot of us are struggling to pay rent, feed ourselves and survive these days so this is hard to post. I started 2 new jobs last month and was working on saving up for a deposit for a studio. In that time I was living out of my vehicle with all my belongings inside.

On May 29th while driving to a job my car started to smoke. A bystander screamed and told me that my undercarriage near the engine was on fire. I didn’t try to save anything, just grabbed my dog and got distance while simultaneously trying to keep pedestrians and drivers away from the scene. Watching your only security burn is no fun.

This is tough. Asking for a bit of support for this transition. I only had liability insurance so the car is gone and I’ve accepted that. I have a plan in action to replenish some of my clothing/toiletries but trying to concrete some secure housing for the month.
