Sol is my sister-in-law, and she is the loving mother of five wonderful kids. Recently, their lives were turned upside down when a fire broke out above their home, forcing them to leave everything behind. The home now has saltwater damage from fire hose runoff, and the kitchen is unusable due to fire damage. Sol’s bedroom was ruined by saltwater, and many items throughout the house are affected by smoke. Since the start of the fire, the family has been bouncing from multiple hotels and Airbnbs, trying to find a safe place to stay. The absolute hardest hurdle they face, as we all know, is finding housing in this town. Sol and her children are now facing the difficult challenge of starting over, without the comfort and security of their own home.
