My name is Sunny (on instagram @Sunnyforliberation). I live in the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. I am helping my friend Sohaib Aburaida to raise emergency mutual aid for him and his family.

Sohaib and his family currently stay in Al-Mawasi, having been displaced from their original home Khan Yunis, in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. They used to have a house there, but it has been destroyed by the occupation. Right now, the family is without a tent, and unable to afford the little food that's available at markets. Their extended family is staying on the street together, in a group of about 40 people.

The family has had multiple tents destroyed, due to the occupations' bombing campaign of civilians in tents. Sohaib explained that they were "saved from death by a miracle." But now they need our help.

Together, we can collect enough money for the family to afford food. We have been sending your donations to the family since March 2025. We have seen Sohaib engage in various humanitarian efforts when he is able. He has shown us (in videos and photos) how he always looks after his vulnerable neighbors and orphan children. Please see the media and updates on this fundraiser to view his amazing mutual aid work he has done over the last few months, when he was able.

Sohaib's grandmother, Hedba has been surviving alongside them through this genocide. She is 87 years old. She is dealing with diabetes and high blood pressure. We are hoping to collect enough donations where she can pay for her medical treatments too.

Your donation money will go towards buying food for Sohaib's family. Due to a 4 month and counting blockade, aid has NOT been entering the Strip. There are hundreds of trucks sitting at the Egyptian border that the occupation is not allowing to enter. Because of this blockade, what little food is available at markets are being sold at incredibly inflated prices. Canned food is what's been available, and some vegetables that have been locally grown.
