Help Sofia throughout her transplant journey
Donation protected

Yesterday on 8/17/23 Sofia went to UCLA for a routine heart transplant check up where she received devastating news that her heart transplant of 17 years was failing and one of her biggest fears has happened, she’s being considered for a re-transplant. This news came as a complete surprise as she is a young and healthy woman overall. As you can imagine, Sofia is heartbroken by the news.
In the meantime, her cardiologist team at Roland Regan UCLA Center is intervening to stabilize her heart. The journey ahead will be long and will undoubtedly will affect her ability to work and live her normal life. Sofia has touched the lives of many people and is loved by her close friends and family. She has three adorable pets, Juno, Diego and River, that she wants to get back home to. Sofia was promoted to auntie, four years ago and loves her niece Phoenix so much. She’s her greatest joy and misses her so much.
We would like to help ease some of the overwhelming financial stresses she will endure over the course of her health journey and through her recovery. Your donations will help cover the onslaught of other medical costs, and all the other life expenses that continue to bombard her so that she can focus fully on her health and healing.
We thank you for reading this letter, for sharing to your own network far and wide, and thank you in advance for any support you can offer as we help lift her through the next difficult phase of her life. Anything you can afford would make a difference to Sofia.
And finally, please lift Sofia up in prayer and send all the best healing energy and love her way. She’s so strong so we know she will make it through.
With deepest gratitude,
Sofia’s Family
NOTE: 100% of all funds raised will be donated directly to the beneficiary, Ms. Sofia R. Before her diagnosis, Sofia was financially independent and providing for herself. All proceeds will be used to manage the overwhelming financial costs of hospital care. Further, funds will support the enormous cost-of-living debts and obligations Sofia is struggling with (like keeping her apartment, etc...) since she is no longer working as she awaits for her heart transplant.
