As some of you may know, my wife, Sofia and I have been going through the legal process in the US to obtain her green card so that she can work and also visit her  family in Costa Rica. It has been about a 2 year process so far and cost almost      $4,000 just in application and medical fees.

We got all the way to the end of that process and found out that there was an        order for her removal from the US that we did not find out about due to clerical      errors with her previous application. We immediately called multiple attorneys to get an idea of how to proceed and found that the bottom line is $2,600 plus all       required filing fees and that doesn't guarantee a positive outcome.                                My sponsorship of Sofia has already been approved by USCIS, Sofia has an
education from a US institution totally paid in full by her family. It has been
suggested by the attorney that our case has a very good chance of a positive
outcome, we just cannot afford such a large expense on short notice.

Anyone who knows Sofia knows how much she has been through regarding losing family members and not being able to return home to attend funerals and support her family during those times. If you also know me, you know I would never ever
