My name is Sofia, and I’m a passionate rock climbing instructor for kids living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m originally from Ecuador and have built a life here, sharing my love for climbing with young people and helping them discover their own strength and confidence. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’ve always believed in the power of support and community, and now I find myself needing that support more than ever.
On May 25, 2025, I was in a serious motorcycle accident that left me with a broken clavicle. The injury has made it impossible for me to continue teaching, and I’m currently in the hospital, where I need to stay for at least a week. I require urgent surgery to recover and get back to doing what I love. Being far from my family in Ecuador, I’m relying on the kindness of friends and the generosity of people who believe in helping others during tough times.
The funds raised will go directly toward covering my hospital stay and the surgery I need to heal. Your support will help me pay my medical bills and get back on my feet so I can return to teaching and supporting the kids who count on me. Any help you can give means the world to me, and I’m deeply grateful for your kindness and solidarity.
