Help Sofia Join the Gold Drum Corp

Hi everyone my name is Liz the proud mom of Sofia for whom I am running this fundraiser for. I can't put into words how proud and excited I am for her to hopefully embark on this opportunity. As many of you already know she is really in to the music program at school and has a huge passion for the marching band. This week she was granted with the biggest opportunity of her life this far and we are hoping we can make the opportunity a reality. Ever since she joined marching band she's had aspirations of joining DCI and competing nationally with future goals of becoming a marching band director for high school. We went to her school this past Saturday 6/21/25 to just spectate Gold Drum Corp based here in Southern California as they rehearsed to gear up for their season and she was literally recruited on the spot to join them. She jumped at the opportunity and dove right into rehearsal with the group who have been learning their music and drill since January. So she is 6 months behind everyone but in 2 rehearsals with them she's already picked up on a big portion of the movements and is picking up the music very quickly. With the potential to join comes a great cost we definitely were not planning for and most certainly do not have the funds at a drop of a hat to fund such an excursion up state and across the country performing back to back competitions over 3½ weeks set to embark next week. If you can spare anything at all to help turn this dream into a reality for her we would greatly appreciate it and she would be over the moon excited and appreciative. Funds go directly to the organization for travel costs, food costs and show costs.
