Hi, my name is Shayma, and I’m a mom asking for help for my beautiful 9-year-old daughter, Sofia. Sofia is non-verbal and autistic. She doesn’t speak with words, but she feels deeply. She loves fiercely. She experiences the world in ways that are hard to explain but impossible to ignore. Every smile, every small breakthrough, every moment of connection feels like a miracle we hold onto tightly. Our days are filled with therapy appointments, doctor visits, and constant advocacy. We celebrate victories others might not notice—eye contact, calm moments, shared laughter—because for us, those moments mean everything. Being her parent has taught us patience, strength, and a love deeper than we ever imagined… but it has also come with heartbreak, exhaustion, and difficult decisions no parent is prepared for.
After extensive research and conversations with medical professionals, we’ve decided to pursue stem cell therapy as a supportive treatment option for Sofia. This therapy is not a cure, and we understand there are no guarantees. But as her parents, we feel a responsibility to explore every safe and hopeful option that may support her development and quality of life. The hardest part is that this therapy is not covered by insurance. The cost of treatment, travel, lodging, and follow-up care is overwhelming, and despite doing everything we can, it is simply more than our family can manage on our own.
Asking for help is not easy. But we are asking—because she deserves every chance. Every donation, every share, every kind word helps bring us closer to giving Sofia this opportunity. Your support means more than financial help—it means hope. It means believing in a little girl who is trying so hard every single day. Thank you for reading our story, for opening your heart to our family, and for standing beside us on this journey. With all our gratitude, Sinan family❤️
