Hi! My name is Sofia, and I am 9 years old. I’m fascinated by science, building things, and constantly asking questions about the workings of the world. I’m really excited to share that I was chosen for the National Leadership Program for STEM students in summer 2026! This is a significant honor for me, and I am filled with pride and joy to have been selected. It gives me the opportunity to believe in myself and dream even bigger! STEM ignites a sense of curiosity and courage within me. I love learning new things, solving puzzles, and trying ideas even when they’re hard. At this program, I’ll have the opportunity to engage in exciting hands-on projects, develop leadership skills, and connect with other kids from across the country who share my passion for science and math. Going to this program costs more money than my family can afford, so I’m asking for help. The money raised will help pay for the program, travel, a place to stay, food, and the supplies I need to participate. Any donation—big or small—helps me get closer to this amazing experience. If you can’t donate, sharing my page would mean so much to me too. Thank you for helping me chase my dream and for believing in me. Thank you for reading my story! Love, Sofia
A letter from Sofia’s Dad and Stepmom:
We are incredibly proud of Sofia and her love for learning. Being selected for this National STEM Leadership Program at such a young age is both an honor and a testament to her curiosity, determination, and bright potential. This program will give Sofia the chance to grow not only academically, but also as a confident young leader. While the cost of attendance is a challenge for our family, we believe deeply in the value of this opportunity and in supporting Sofia’s dreams. Thank you for taking the time to read Sofia’s story, for your generosity, and for encouraging a young girl’s passion for STEM. Your support truly means more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Floyd and Dominique Haberle
