Hi, my name is Julia Lepkowska and I was born in Chicago with polish roots. My parents and I are on the mission to help a five-year-old girl named Sofia, and her mom named Yevheniia Nesterovskaya find a safe place in Poland after escaping the horrifying war in Ukraine.  I come from a family that believes in helping others in need, so as you may assume, this fund for the little girl and her mom is very important to me. As you may know, Poland has become a place for a lot of refugees from Ukraine during this time, and two out of around 2 million people are Sofia and her mom Yevheniia. Yevheniia used to be an accountant in Ukraine, and when she and Sofia escaped Ukraine, they left everything behind and had only one suitcase with them. Sofia and her family come from Zaporoz, Ukraine. Sofia and her mom have been taken under my uncle, Marcin Dudek, and his wife, Angelika's wings in Warsaw, Poland and they have been recently trying to get back up on their feet. Sofia said that she knows a hero, and that hero is her dad, Oleksander. Her dad stayed behind in Ukraine to help fight for his country and their freedom. Please help us raise money for Sofia and Yevheniia so they could rent out a small apartment in Poland and help them put an end to their worries about tomorrow. All the money raised will be sent to Poland to my uncle's account and all of it will be granted to Sofia and her mom Yevheniia to build a new life in Poland.
