Help Sodom Breathe Easy

Hi! I’m Margot! My partner Haillee and I adopted the sweetest little black cat this past Spring. We named him Sodom. He’s the cuddliest, most sensitive little guy. He likes to spend his days resting with his mommies and big (human) brothers, and brings goofy and cute with his sister Ginger.
When we adopted him, he was all alone in a pet store cage, and since he’s found his voice and personality. (That’s what living with lesbians will do!) But he’s also had a lot of health problems. Early on we found out he had ringworm which ran through the house and took many weeks of treatment. While getting him to health, we also found that he had some bad sinus/nasal issues. (I’ve never met a sneezier boy so full of boogers.)
My partner has taken Sodom to the vet numerous times for testing and meds, which culminated in a surgery to see if he had a polyp or some other obstruction. He doesn’t. So we have to take him to a specialist to figure out what’s going on.
If you have pets, kids, dependents, etc., you know this is such a hard emotional and financial strain. We’ve spent much money on vet bills and meds, and it feels like he’s in the same place he’s been since he became a part of the family. We want to get Sodom healthy because he’s never had a single day that he’s breathed clearly. Our insurance won’t cover these visits and tests because they say it’s a preexisting condition.
In order to be able to give him the continued care he needs, we’re reaching out to friends and family, and whomever else is willing to help, to give us all some relief so sweet Sodom can live a fuller, happier life. It’d mean the world to us if you could help!
