Help Sobo restaurant “The Garden” after robbery

Hi, my name is Larry. My wife and I are residents of Riverside. We’re starting a Go Fund Me effort in support of The Garden restaurant on Light St that was a recent victim of an ATM smash and grab. The family that owns this business have been through a series of break-ins and now this extensive damage to their building. We need family businesses like this in Baltimore, and it would be great to help them in this time of need.
Given the great response, Go Fund Me has asked me to include the following information:
A clear explanation of how you know the intended recipients of your fundraiser's donations and whether you are in direct contact with them
Our family met the Lee’s about 12 years ago and we have been a regular Saturday morning customer in addition to having them prepare orders for our workplace. They have come to know our family. The restaurant was closed today but I left a VM for Mr. Lee to contact me. I plan on going to the restaurant tomorrow in hopes to meet with them.
A clear plan for how you will ensure the donations are delivered directly to their intended recipient
Anything else that may help people better understand your fundraiser's purpose
As a 1st timer with Go Fund Me, and thinking donations would hit our first goal of $1,000, my original plan was to get to the $1,000 mark and close the campaign. At that point I would write a personal check for all donations. Since the effort has exceeded expectations, I will have Go Fund Me send the funds directly to the Lee’s; we just need to get in touch with them for that to happen.
My plan is to close the campaign later this week, have the remaining funds go directly to them and to present the Lee’s with a list of donors that they can display in their restaurant.
If possible, I will post a picture of the Lee’s receiving this news.

update 3:00: I was able to reach Mr. Lee by phone and told him about this campaign. He was not aware of the fundraising effort and was so thankful as I related the number of people that had donated and that had expressed their feelings for them. We will be closing the page tomorrow and now that I have their email address, all funds will go directly to them.
