Snoopy showed up about four years ago, homeless and missing one eye, with bad teeth that made eating difficult. Since then, we've done everything we can to help him—buying special food, mixing it with liquids, and ordering dental care products from Chewy. Despite our efforts, Snoopy needs a few teeth pulled for sure. Lately, he's been losing a lot of weight and running out of things he can eat with his painful teeth. It's heartbreaking to watch him struggle, and we just don't have the money for him to get the dental surgery he needs.
We take care of 32 cats every day, many of whom need extra attention. They all get dry and wet food, and we've provided shelter with heat lights for winter and clean straw. There are a couple of houses outside that they use, and most of the cats have been fixed. We live next to a park with an RV section, so new cats arrive every month—most usually stay. When we moved in, we had one dog and four cats; now, we have one dog and over 30 cats. We spend between $700 and $1,000 every month on food and medicine for the cats, but we can't turn away an animal that needs a home, food, care, or love.
The hardest part is when they need help and we can't afford it. I hate asking for help, but sometimes we all need a little support. If you can help Snoopy get the care he needs, or want to work directly with a local vet, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for considering a donation to help Snoopy and his friends.
