Snoopy isn’t just our 3 years old dog — she’s family. She’s gentle, loving, and unbelievably patient, even as she recovers from a major surgery that cost a bit over $7000 (not including X-rays, bloodwork, and medications. They are putting screws and metal to replace her knee ligaments. We’ve taken on her physical therapy ourselves, and she sweetly lets us help her every step of the way. She had this procedure done in August on her right knee, and unfortunately in December, her left knee ligament tore, which means another $10000. She needs it to have a good quality of life and to prevent damage to her meniscus and the rest of her leg.

What makes Snoopy extra special is her bond with our foster kittens. Videos of her cuddling and caring for them on Pink Paws for the Cause have touched so many hearts, helping those tiny babies get adopted into loving homes. Even while healing, Snoopy is still giving back. As a single mother teacher and a volunteer foster kittens, I try to do good for our community, but this unexpected second surgery has been a challenge for us financially.
